  • I will post on this site more frequently. No where near Avanish, somewhere between Eric and Robbin
  • Scorecards in Excel (the defacto for many of us doing analysis) will finally get a look and tweak from user experience designers and help us all to better visualize our data, results and identify problems. “Actionable” information and steps to resolve will become clearer.
  • New or developing analysts and graduates of the UBC Web Analytics program who are tired of seeking job opportunities where they can develop their skills and learn from mentors (it is just me or does everyone wants “experienced” analysts?) will stop looking and begin consulting for smaller online sites and companies. Many of these small companies will become resume case-studies and one or two of these analysts will end up talking at Jim Sterne’s eMetrics Summit.
  • Implementations of Persuasion Architecture, Customer Carewords and the Long Tail of search will be cause for improved conversion, customer understanding, find-ability and improved user experience on the web.
  • Google will tweak their free analytics to track attitudinal metrics and will offer users the ability to comment and rate the relevancy and quality of its search results.
  • WebSideStory will make a bid to buy Omniture and move to combine HBX, Omniture and Visual Sciences into the analytics killer app. Matt Belkin won’t join the new company but will instead blog about his travels around the globe.
